Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any services, software, or websites operated by Sentient Bean LLC ("Company," "we," "us"), including sentientbean.net, Beansuite applications, OrderItPro, PayForItPro, MarketItPro, Sentient Brewer, and the Sentient Bean Music Store, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Services

Sentient Bean LLC provides:

  • Beansuite — Desktop applications currently in free beta. We reserve the right to change pricing, features, or availability at any time.
  • SaaS Products — OrderItPro, PayForItPro, MarketItPro, and Sentient Brewer, each with their own subscription terms.
  • Development Services — Custom web, software, and AI development under separate project agreements.
  • Music Store — Physical media marketplace with on-demand manufacturing and fulfillment.
  • Music Publishing — Publishing, distribution, and licensing services.

3. Beansuite Beta

Beansuite applications are provided "as-is" during the beta period. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, data preservation, or feature availability. Beta software may contain bugs, incomplete features, or instability. Use in production environments is at your own risk.

Beta access may be revoked at any time. We may collect anonymous usage data to improve our products.

4. Music Store — Physical Media

Physical media products (CDs, vinyl records, cassettes, DVDs, Blu-rays) are manufactured on demand by our fulfillment partner and shipped directly to the customer.

  • All sales are final. No returns, exchanges, or refunds on physical media.
  • Manufacturing typically takes 5-10 business days plus shipping time.
  • Shipping costs and delivery times are estimated and may vary.
  • We are not responsible for items damaged or lost during shipping. Claims should be directed to the shipping carrier.

For Artists Selling Through Our Store

  • You represent that you own or have licensed all rights to the music and artwork you submit.
  • You grant us a non-exclusive license to reproduce and distribute your content through our store and fulfillment partners.
  • Revenue splits are as agreed during onboarding (default: 70% artist / 30% platform from profit after manufacturing costs).
  • We reserve the right to remove any product at any time for any reason.

5. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree not to share your credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use our services for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Distribute malware, spam, or harmful content through our platforms
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software
  • Resell or redistribute our software without written permission
  • Submit content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others

7. Intellectual Property

All Sentient Bean software, content, branding, and design are the property of Sentient Bean LLC and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Beansuite, OrderItPro, PayForItPro, MarketItPro, and Sentient Brewer are trademarks of Sentient Bean LLC.

8. Payment & Billing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sentient Bean LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or our business.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be announced via our website.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
